Radcliffe Day on Friday, May 29 Print Email

Important Update

The following email just (05/18/15) came in to Alice Davies and Nancy Blackmun:

Greetings from Radcliffe Yard.  We are looking forward to having your class with us for Radcliffe Day.

I'm pleased to let you know that we are expecting a strong showing from your class.  We've continued to accept all rsvps from the class of 1965 to date, even though the registration deadline was March 30.  As another courtesy to your class, we also contacted all classmates who registered with the HAA for reunion but not yet for Radcliffe Day to give them an extra chance to register.

I'd recommend that anyone with questions should contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . We haven't turned anyone away from your class to date, but I can't say how long we will be able to accommodate late 50th reunion registrants.

I wish you the best for your reunion. If you have any questions about Radcliffe Day or suggestions for the future, please feel free to direct them to me.

With appreciation,

Matt Kernkraut

Information from Radcliffe on all fronts has left a great deal to be desired. I am assured that the following is accurate:

  • If you registered for the luncheon by the cut off date of March 30, you will get a ticket. They are being mailed in mid-May.
  • There will be a section of tables for 50th reunion women.
  • They usually rent a tent that has room for 800. Because of the demand this year, and apparently because of the pressure brought to bear by reunion classes (maybe ours?), they’ve now hired the largest tent in the Commonwealth, which will accommodate 1300.
  • Persons without tickets cannot get into the tent.
  • It looks like the tickets will include the morning symposium, but this is not completely clear. It is clear that seating will be first come, first served. There will be an overflow place with live streaming, venue to be announced (no information about where the announcement will be found). There will also be live online streaming, as well as after-the-fact availability on the Radcliffe Institute website.
  • See the Radcliffe Institute website ( for further information.

As of 5/15, the tickets are now arriving by mail.  You must have a ticket for the morning panel at 10:30 as well as the luncheon.
