Football Affinity Event

Harvard Football Affinity Event
Harvard Athletic Gazebo
5-6 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015
All Harvard/Radcliffe Classmates and Guests Welcome.

You may be aware that Harvard Football under Coach Tim Murphy and staff has achieved major successes. The Wall Street Journal recently entitled an article “How Harvard Became the Harvard of Football.” The team was undefeated this past year (11-0) and won its third Ivy League Championship in the last four years. The WSJ article said this was not the football team that Teddy Kennedy played on nor for that matter was it the team captained by classmate John F. O’Brien. It is notable however, that team beat Yale 3 out of 4 years losing only the game delayed our junior year after the Kennedy assassination when arguably no football game should have been played.

We would welcome the opportunity to share hellos and cocktails with all of our Harvard and Radcliffe classmates who are at all interested in the Harvard Football Program. If you were one of the 115 classmates who came out for the team in the fall of 1961, if you played house football or whether you never stepped on a football field or were a Cliffy, we would love to have you join us.

Transportation will be available from the back of Sanders Theatre at the conclusion of the Ten Minute Talks—Part C on Wednesday or from Quincy House. Note 5:00 pm Start Time but feel free to stop in anytime 5-6 p.m.
