Harvard-Dartmouth Football Game
HARVARD-RADCLIFFE CLASS OF 1965
CLASS TAILGATE AT THE HARVARD-DARTMOUTH
FOOTBALL GAME, OCTOBER 30, 2021
CORRECTION: Kickoff at 12 Noon, Tailgate at 9:30 AM
We will have our annual Harvard-Radcliffe Class of 1965 tailgate at the Harvard-Dartmouth football game at Harvard Stadium October 30, 2021. This will be our Seventh Annual Class Tailgate, which we started in 2014 to begin our 50th Reunion Celebration. This year is our delayed 55th Reunion so we will make this game, literally and figuratively, a kick-off of our Reunion Year! The time of the kick-off is 12 noon. The tailgate will start at 9:30 AM. The tailgate will be held in our usual location in the parking lot directly behind the closed end of the Stadium opposite the only spectator entrance at the closed end of the Stadium. You enter this area via Gate 8A. It’s a great location.
The tailgate will be casual and informal with the emphasis on fun and camaraderie. We will serve simple tailgate fare consisting of grinder sandwiches, potato chips, brownies, beer, wine, water and soft drinks. We will have our traditional Class toast and sing a medley of Harvard football songs as we have in the past. We refer to that medley as our 50th Reunion Medley. The tailgate is open to classmates and guests. This year the Harvard Athletic Department is going to make the Harvard-Dartmouth game on October 30th a special occasion. They hope to create the excitement and festive atmosphere of the Yale game, which is in New Haven this year. We have invited the Harvard Band to have lunch with us and play a few Harvard songs. We believe they will come as they did in 2019. Also, to promote the game all tickets will cost only $10.00 per person. The cost for the tailgate will be $25.00 per person, the total cost for ticket and tailgate is $35.00 per person. We will sit together in the area of the Harvard Band where we can enjoy their wonderful music during the game. We will be in Section 27 this year, closer to the end zone, because of the anticipated larger crowd and we cannot get enough seats together in our usual Section 29 area, which is on or about the 30-yard line. This should be an exciting and interesting game as Dartmouth is an excellent team and always plays very well against Harvard. Harvard has a fun, exciting team and is off to a 5-0 start, although the tougher the teams are still to be played.
We will celebrate the start of our delayed 55th Reunion Year with a special game! We want to keep our friendship, camaraderie and momentum going and support our beloved Harvard Football team at our Class Tailgate on October 30th. We hope you will join us.
