“I get no kicks from champagne…”
We kicked off our 50th reunion year literally and figuratively at the Harvard v. Lafayette football game this fall, which opened with the Harvard kick-off and ended with a Harvard victory over Lafayette. We will continue with the “kick” theme by attending the Hasty Pudding Theatricals show, HTP 167 “Oops!....Madrid it Again”, on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 4:00 pm. The “kick” comes from the famous kick line that the HPT cast performs near the end of each show. It is one of the most famous kick lines in America and certainly the oldest. Hasty Pudding Theatricals is the oldest continuously-running theatrical company in America.
We will meet at the Hasty Pudding Theater, 12 Holyoke St., Cambridge, at 3:45 pm and distribute the tickets then. You can pay for the show ticket and dinner at that time. The show will run about 2 1/2 hours including an intermission. After the show we will adjourn for a leisurely dinner and conversation to Sandrine’s Restaurant two doors down from the Hasty Pudding Theater. The dinner will start at 6:30 pm. We will have our own private dining room so we can dine and converse at our leisure.
We hope you will join us for this traditional Harvard event as part of our 50th Reunion Celebration. We have reserved 30 tickets for the show. They are in an excellent location in the first, second and third rows. The 30 tickets will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. If more than 30 people register, we can try to get more tickets but there are no guarantees.
If you would like to attend, please email Gene Skowronski at firstname.lastname@example.org or call him at work (203)734-3315 or on his cell (203)305-5754 with the number of people who will be attending. If you are not going to attend both events, please so indicate.
We are off to a great start with our 50th reunion. The Harvard v. Lafayette football game and tailgate were followed by a number of gatherings in various cities throughout the country. Our Hasty Pudding Theatricals play and dinner will keep our momentum going. The 50th reunion committee is hard at work trying to arrange a stimulating and enjoyable reunion experience for all of us.
Let’s take advantage of this special reunion year and enjoy one another’s company at the HPT 167 Theatrical performance and dinner at Sandrine’s. If you have any questions or need further information you may contact Gene Skowronski as listed above.
